
Do you consider yourself a positive person?
Maybe your answer is “Yes”, maybe your answer is “No”, but how do you make sure that you are on the positive side of life?
You see, we people cannot look objectively at our subjectivity.
To help you find the right answer, let me share with you a few tips.
Firstly, look at the feelings that you experience throughout the day. Are these mostly positive or are they mostly negative?
Keeping a journal about your daily emotions can be helpful in this regard.
It’s crucial to become aware of your emotional states because the quality of our feelings determines the quality of our life!
Try this exercise for a week and then reflect on whether your feelings tended to be positive or negative.
By becoming aware of your feelings, you’ll know exactly what moods you have throughout your day.
So, are your moods mostly positive or negative?
Another way to gain insights into your emotional state is by asking people close to you how they perceive your moods. People unconsciously pick up on our emotional vibes, and understanding how your moods affect your interactions with others can be eye-opening.
Additionally, examine whether you tend to focus more on what is going wrong in your life or on what is going well.
Though this may seem like a simplistic view, it can lead to valuable insights about areas that may need improvement.
If things are not going well try to identify in which areas of your life this is the case, such as your relationship, children, health, work, business… It may be that one or more areas in your life require more attention.
Sometimes, if one area is not going well, people have the idea that ALL is bad, but it’s good to be aware that life consists of different parts and it is never ALL or NOTHING.
